California Election Fun
Sorry I’ve been away for a while. I’ve been looking for a new job and also continuing to work on https://giftgiving.fun. Please give it a try if you have an event that needs gifts coming up!
Short post today.
I’m very glad that Xavier Becerra has made it to the next round of the California governor’s race. While I’ve never been an L.A. resident, I’m also happy that Karen Bass and Nithya Raman will be in the mayor’s race. Goodbye Spencer Pratt! I see a lot of L.A. residents are offering to take Spencer to the airport because he said he would leave L.A. if he didn’t qualify. Isn’t that nice of them?
I’m depressed that the Republican congress has given ICE another 70 billion dollars in funding. I hope that after the 2026 and 2028 elections we can get rid of ICE in its new fascist form. Here’s hoping!
I love that two plaintiffs have filed a lawsuit to stop Trump’s UFC cage match next week for his 80th birthday. Guess we’ll see what a federal judge has to say about this. Trump also went nuts on NBC’s Kristen Welker this morning for asking him about all of his lies. He got so mad he ended the interview, tossed his microphone and stepped on it like a child. The man is not well.
In case you didn’t know, there’s going to be another No Kings rally on Trump’s birthday. If you are living in the U.S. I’d recommend going. I’m sure it will be another amazing turn-out. I wish I could join you but I’m living in Sydney, Australia at the moment.
In any case, I hope everyone has a wonderful week! Talk soon!
Cheers,
Donna
